Sisters on the Fly – Raffle to Benefit Casting for Recovery
Sisters on the Fly, an outdoors adventure club for women, is holding a raffle for one lucky winner to own a vintage 1957 Zieman trailer.
All proceeds from the raffle will benefit Casting for Recovery, a non profit organization that provides free fly fishing retreats for women of any age and in any stage of breast cancer.
Aptly named Sweet Charity, the trailer has been restored to its previous splendor by members of Sisters on the Fly. The group has also commissioned an exterior mural painted by Reggley Bedoni, a talented Native American artist from North eastern Arizona. Other trailer highlights include a custom made mattress, maroon ticking and copper accents throughout, converted storage spaces, wood floors and veneer walls.
In addition to all the benefits of a hotel room on wheels, the lucky winner will have the opportunity to join Sisters on the Fly as they caravan to adventurous locations, indulging in various events and activities coordinated by the organization throughout the year. While a trailer isn't required to join in the fun, renovated, vintage trailer caravans have become a trademark of Sisters on the Fly.
Casting for Recovery and Sisters on the Fly have a natural connection, with each organization focused on the healing benefits of nature, sisterhood and, of course, fly fishing.
"We are honored to be a national sponsor of an organization so well known for its outstanding and unique work in the breast cancer recovery community," said Maurrie Sussman, Sister #1 and co-¬founder of Sisters on the Fly. "The raffle is just one of the ways that we are fulfilling our $30,000 annual commitment to this vital cause."
Raffle tickets for the opportunity to win Sweet Charity will be sold from July 29 to August 23. Sales will be capped at 750 tickets and will be available for purchase at www.sistersonthefly.com/sweetcharity or by contacting Ceci Bennett at firstname.lastname@example.org. Pricing for tickets is:1 ticket for $75, 2 for $130, 5 for $300 and 10 for $500.
