Had a great visit "down under" this past May. Early to mid May can usually offer some excellent fly fishing on all rivers. However, by mid-late May, depending on weather conditions, runoff usually begins on freestone rivers resulting in high, unfishable water. Tailwaters like the Bighorn and Missouri are then good options.
