Default Re: looking for opinions: Wild Country 5-6 3wt

They are an affliated company with TU. i came across them looking thru some info on their site.

I tend to prefer a short rod. The 7' i have now doesnt roll cast all that well, compaired to the 9' Sage TCX, its a beast. Its nice for fishing bigger streams, but its too big for little streams.

The length is appealing because in some stremas, the pole will only be a couple feet long and wide enough to jump across. Plus there is lots of hanging brush in MO, so a long rod is very difficult to manouver. The 7' i have now is a two piece, which is cumbersum to pack in, I did it in CO but it would have been nice to fit it in my backpack like my buddy did.

The rod isnt really cheap, but its far from expensive, with shipping its just about 100 bucks. I think I'm going to give it a shot.
