Default What are the AFTMA Fly Line Weight Ratings

This chart shows the relationship between various line weights and the required line weight used on a certain weight rod. You can see that if you over line a rod you must have less line out to properly flex a rod. Or, if you under line a rod you must have more line out to properly flex a rod. This relationship is very important when using add-on sink tips on a floating line.
