Hi - I thought I'd share a link to a website that I've put together to help promote rivers and everything that lives in them to kids (and their teachers!). It is basically an invertebrate version of the existing and excellent "Trout/Salmon in the classroom" projects. Here, though, the kit only costs a very few dollars - so price shouldn't exclude any schools that want to try it out.
Although it has been developed for British mayflies, the setup can easily be used for all common mayfly families. All resources/instructions and support contact details (including mine) are featured on the site and there is no registration fee or any spam associated with downloading them. All we ask is that when you have good stories/photos from your local Mayfly in the Classroom projects that you share them with us via email on firstname.lastname@example.org
Here is the link to the website: www.mayflyintheclassroom.org - Home
All the best
