I explored a new stream today and almost took the LaCrosse. At the last minute, I backed out and took my old 9' 5-wt all-arounder, as the wind was forecast to be in the 10-15 mph range. The stream ended up being quite a bit larger than it looked on Google Earth and running high to boot, so I don't believe it would've been a good test of the little rod.
I recently did some lawn casting with the LaCrosse and the it feels quite promising. I'll get the next installment uploaded as soon as schedule, weather, and water conditions coincide.
