I have heard this question plus what is the long term effect on the guides, knowing the line has not been out long enough to give a possitive answer.
It is taking the technical edge for sure and does all you claimed.
Maybe I have bad hearing but I find it very trivial. The blood from my fingers after catching steelhead and salmon is NOT TRIVIAL THO!!! Seriously, do any of these people that review the sharkskin take the line out for fishing (and catching) decent sized fish? Just have 4 steelhead on your line and your hands will be seriously messed up.
If you want to have a casting competition with your friend, I give this line a A+, I have used it extensively, it will add somewhere near 10 feet to your cast. If you actually are a decent fisherman, you will be headed to the emergency room
