+1 on the smallness

The other thing abut the Ruby.. is depending on what they're doing at the dam, or run off.. the river can get very off color very quickly.

There's some very big fish in the section below the dam, if you get into those.. a 4 weight is as small as I'd go. Above the reservoir... a little 2# is fine


From Alder/Sheridan it's not too far to other rivers.

In Twin Bridges, you have the Jefferson, that forms where the Big Hole, Ruby and Beaverhead rivers come together. And easy to get from there to Ennis: Madison or Dillon: Beaverhead

This should probably be moved to Rocky Mountains sub forum?
