mey, Guiding, leaders get real expensive, so what I have done is (besides the furled leaders I make) I buy regular MONO. I prefer Fluorocardon, but that is me. Plus you could make mono leaders with the last section Fluoro.
You could buy spools of regular mono in say a 15 lb and then a 12lb, 10 lb, 8 lb, 6 lb. and make your own. Spools will cost initially, but you could make a lot of leaders and even experiment with tapers. This is very cost effective considering one spool of Mono at say 250' will cost the same as ONE leader.
You just want to start off a little heavier than 4lb and work down to that.
