Hi Again MacFly.
I think I may have found your Fly,if not it's it Twin Brother with Hackles, only the name has been changed in Poul Jorgenson's Book Dressing Flies for Salt & Freshwater,it's called a Hunt's Wasp Dry listed under Dry Salmon Fly Dressings, the Dressing is as follows,:
Hook. Size 6 or 8 Salmon Dry Fly Hook.
Tail. Very Stiff Red Dyed Hackle Feathers.
Body. Black & Yellow Wool Yarn Tapered in five alternating segments,
starting with Black at the Tail.
Hackle. Six Saddle Hackles,wound mixed, 2 Furnace,2 Grizzly,& 2 LIght Badger.
Head. Black Lacquered.
I haven't as yet tied it as a new Vise Arrived, which I didn't really need,(you all know how it is),which I want to try out.
Cheers.
Brian.
