Hi Dave,

I took a look at the firehole net, I have a wee little one in that shape for small stream trout. It seems to be good. I use the net when the fish are expected to be little fellas who are not easy to control by hand. I have a couple others that have the tear drop shaped bow and they always worked fine for scooping up a fish too. I guess it'll come down to what shape appeals to your eye.
