i fish in the park alot since i live only about 20min away and use a 9ft rod all the time there. Also the brook trout fishing is open in all but 2 streams now and must be 7" like the rainbow and brown to keep . As for the restoration of the brook 20 yrs ago there was so many in the headwaters they started to come down stream prompting the park to open to fishing JMO.I remember catching 65 brook in 45 mins once and that makes a great day but was wanting fish to eat and could not keep them then so it made fishing hard but hey it was fun and will never forget that.. i will be there this weekend 6/25/2011 for a little fishing and horsebacking
