Making your own leaders

Anybody making their own leaders?
I was just reading Joni’s blog and saw that she is making her own leaders and remembered a recipe I found in Gary Borger’s book Presentations so I bought a few rolls of mono to give it a shot.
Dry fly leader – for size 10-14 fly. 4 feet of 0.013, 1 foot 0.010, and 4 feet of 4X or 0.007
Dry fly leader – for size 20 or smaller. 1 foot 0.013, 4 feet 0.010,4 feet of 0.007, and 1 foot of 6X or 7X
A 15 foot leader – for size 16. 5 feet of 0.017, 5 feet of 0.013, 1 foot of 0.010, 3 feet of 0.007 and 1 foot of 0.005.
A windy situation 15 foot leader – 10 feet of 0.017, 1 foot of 0.012, 3 feet of 2X and 1 foot of 6X
Nymphing Dead Drift - 4 feet of 0.020, 1 foot of 0.013, 4 feet of 2X. Then add 6-8 inches of 4X tippet. The fly goes on the 4X The shot at the first knot and the indicator on the 0.013
