I do the same thing. Stainless hooks and anything with a beadhead gets retied. This reminds me, have you ever noticed that flies only fall apart when you don't want them to? When I'm cutting them down I'm amazed at how well they hold together, when I'm fishing them I cant believe how fast they come apart.
