Water temperature is a major consideration that relates to the fishes activity level. Cold means dead-drift small patterns near bottom.50 degrees or more farenheit means the fish may chase a streamer.The warmer the temps, the more active the fish.
Water clarity is another big consideration.Dirty water means use bigger fly like woolly worm or bugger.
