Default Re: Do we really need so many?

fishindave, funny how when we look at things from a different perspective, even when there's a lot of redundancy in patterns used for various species, we realize just how much alike we all really are! I don't think it matters what species we fish for most, collecting flies is an addiction in itself!

Probably one of those little things that keeps us involved in this sport! So many flies, so little time!

mike63, sorry to hear about the eye issues! I guess we take our health for granted sometimes! I'm in reasonably good heath for my age, but probably have arthritis in every joint in my body now. I feel like I've been run over by a truck! I hurt all the time! Even my hair hurts sometimes, the few that I have left!
Still, like you as long as I'm able, I'll continue to fly fish & tie flies!

I also have way more flies than I'll likely ever use, and that's just for bass & Striped Bass. The rest of my many flies are for everything else!

I wouldn't change it for anything!

Have fun with it folks, support the addiction! There could be worse things we could be doing!
