While I think I like the more orange tippets over the cream and the more closed back, I do like the look of the shorter tag on the second version. The red in the tail is also neat. As far as the spacing on the ribbing, I didn't really notice until you said something, and even then, only the spacing of the rearmost two is slightly off while the rest look just fine to me! The black dubbed head is interesting as I'm used to seeing the glossed threadheads on most your flies. Out of curiosity, what is the material that constitutes the horns?
