Okay okay. Just about everyone on here is 'hooked' on fly fishing and will most likely get 'hooked' really bad a some point. I entered that club today.
What I learned:
1. Always smash the barb down. Saves time and money (literally!)
2. When your fly is wrapped around a tree branch, just cut it or pull it out, don't try and BREAK THE BRANCH IN HALF while the hook is in your hand!
A woolly bugger deep in the thumb.
But it was worth it!
