Default Re: 2 Weight Rods

I would like to thank each and everyone of you for your comments and recommendations. The suggestion to start with a 5 wt. in an 8'-6' or 9' seems to be a common theme. I started out fly fishing (last season) with a Sage Vantage in a 5 wt 8'-6" and found it to be a very comfortable rod to cast. I favor it over my Sage RPL 9'. It seems that I have a preference for a slower action and would like to eventually move to the lighter 2 wt. rod to fill out my collection for small drys. I am looking forward to next season and developing a better casting stroke. Thanks again.
