Default Re: Need some moral advice

Burk, if you are reading this I hope you will confirm/clarify what I am about to write.

I fish both Hardy U DD and Fortuna and both are made in Korea. The steel components and drag assemblies are made in England though and shipped to Korea where the aluminum bar stock and computerized machining of it are considered, by Hardy, to be superior in quality. The reels are completely designed by Hardy in both Britain and at Hardy North America without compromise. These reels are a three nation collaboration in producing an excellent performing reel with the quality to deserve wearing the Hardy Castle and Fly emblem. This is not boiler plate junk out of China, this is a carefully orchestrated, modern, international cooperative venture that creates skilled jobs in all three countries. I have fished both of these reel hard in demanding environments and they have surpassed my expectations.

You all know I am not a "Brand Loyalist" and I fish reels from Abel, Islander, Nautilus and Hatch as well and these contemporary Hardys fit right in with this top quality group like very few other reels do.
