I'm not familiar with that specific stream, but I'd bet my life that some #12-16 royal wulffs, or Mr. Rapidans, or basically any dry fly in that size would work. I got one last Friday at dry river, VA on a #14 brassie and my wife took one on a #12 royal wulff. They are my kind of trout -- not too picky.

I have a book for fly fishing the state of VA and the author appears to use virtually the same flies for ALL brook trout streams -- royal wulffs, Mr. Rapidans, yellow sallies, and terrestrials when the season gets on.
