Growing up, the next door neighbors had an old Old Town.
It's still around and believe me with the multiple layers of canvas and years of paint that sucker weighs more then double your estimate
Around 1962 we took that old boat up for a trip to Algonquin Park in Ontario
I was just pre-school then but I remember that was high adventure !

My favorite early season fly would be a Hornberg.
