Thanks Doulglas Macnair!!!
I followed your instructions from your book I read from your site.
My casting is already improving a ton. When I was doing the side arm casting and watching the tip loading and unloading I could really understand much better what I should be trying to do. Leaving the rod down close to the water/ground for the start was a huge help. My casting wasnt terrible before , but I wasnt feeling too confident about going after some nervous trout. Now I feel I can at least go out and have a fighting chance at it. Of course I still need to improve but this is a good base to continue from. I was even able to get a good cast with a pretty good wind at my back. The fly was floating down to the ground nice and easy most of the time. I was laying out about 45 - 50 feet. It was cool. Not perfect but getting better. Thanks Doug.
