When I was out Sunday I made a point of practicing casting more than really "fishing". Nothing was rising at the time so I took the opportunity to work on casting and controling my drift and presentation.
Seeing as how I made a lazy mistake and had too short a leader/tippet for part of the day. Once I tied on a new leader life was better.
