Default Re: Hawkins Triple Double and Moto's Minnow

Sorry for the delay. I haven't fished the Triple Double (though Ive fished similar flies). That much meat getting tossed and then stripped usually brings out the piggish browns. Try a variety of retrieves and pitch it into the nastiest of snags to find the fish you're looking for. As far as Moto's Minnow, I'm a big fan of the pattern, especially in white. I've caught both lake-run rainbows and browns as well as smallmouth on the pattern. Dead-drifting works, as does erratic retrieves to mimic a stunned baitfish.
