Channel cats are suckers for flys! We have a spot on the Susquehanna where you can throw streamers and nymphs and hook up all day long! The key to this area is finding where they lie in the current and swinging the streamer or nymph through the hole. Last fall we had a dozen channels and one small flathead which saved the trip in which the Smallmouths just weren't cooperating. We also have a big lake near us that when the big mayfly hatch is on in late spring that brown bullheads as well as channels rise to the hatch along with the walleyes and smallies in the lake!
