I've walked through tons of wild parsnip in my waders this year, but never had burns after touching my waders later.
One of my friends has been using midges a lot, but I've had a lot of luck using buggers. Honestly, you'd be fine if you didn't pack anything but sz 16 bwo's, hoppers, and sz 14 copper johns. That's all you need.
