Though the same configuration, the Orvis Western was Orvis's crisper action rod series in the 80's, likely inspired by work Scott was doing then. It has been a while but I recall Morgan's 8'/#4 was more full flexing, nice rod though. More to my modern preference but there can't be that many around; I really liked the old Albright EXS 8 1/2'/#4 and of course the award winning Zenith of this configuration is great.
