I've been a "keep it in the family" sort of patient over the last 30+ years. For my orthopedic work-- bad knees, two broken back and myriad other breaks and fractures --I've now officially bridged three generations of the same family of orthopedic specialists, now seeing Dr. B. Mayne, III after starting with his grandfather, then his Dad, and now him. If I live long enough, I may well end up being treated by Dr. B. Mayne IV!

And, as for my oncology work? "Doc"-- the father --began my cancer battles with me nearly 16 years ago before passing over the reins for my care to "Doc," his daughter. And, to me-- a father with only daughters --she's akin to an adopted daughter in her own right, as I've known her that long!

And, therein may well lie the problem as to why she doesn't let me get away with anything. Besides, with the women of this household on her side, I'm watched like a hawk and made to toe the line. Well, kind of...
