Default Bluegills are the best!

I fly fished my fave lake today, before the rain. I know that there are crappies in 20' of water, and they will hit a Gulp Alive minnow ...... but today I was only after relaxation and catchin' a lot of fish!

I didn't even take my UL spin. I used my 3wt Cabelas PT (my Helios is still being repaired)

Super fun afternoon. I must have caught 100 sunfish today! Mostly bluegills, but a few green sunfish and a couple small bass.

Water temp was 78 ...... it was 80 last week during the hot spell. Best flies were a tan "micro bugger" in size 14 and 16. Most caught on top, but a tungsten bead on same fly also produced pretty good.

Flies I used today. I tied a few more for tomorrow? (some no weight, and some with tungsten bead)
