Re: What you call that 'fish' is a function of where your are?
Lived in Ashland, OR for many years and had an Albertson's a short way, away. There stocking up on 'food' and a bit of fish for dinner sounded darned good.
Go to counter and see 'Fresh Steelhead' and heart died. Been shopping there for years and knew the meat department Mgr. (one heck of a nice lady) and told her that selling 'Steelhead' in Oregon was a 'felony.' Like a huge fine; here (legally) you can't even give one away you've legally caught. People do, to keep this real.
'Hang on a minute' and went back out to my car and got the Game Reg's book and turn to page (what-ever) .... 'SWEET JESUS!' She calls the store manager and another 'SWEET JESUS!' Went back the next day and the fish was gone; called several folks around the State and their counters were also 'clean.'
