yes, if you are looking to single hand cast take that wf up to a #9 or #10 line. Godshall is the man, no doubt, and I love his lines.

However, one of the best lines for spey casting technique, and one of the easiest to learn on is the Airflo scandi compact, you could buy a 390 or 420 grain on that 7 weight switch and it would work great. You'll also need a running line for the scandi shooting head. I have to respectfully disagree with fred, After using godshall lines, I still think a line such as the scandi compact would be just as easy to throw and learn on as a godshall, just my opinion. However, godshall is the man when it comes to lines so don't get me wrong.
