Your average double taper and weight forward lines are for all intents and purposes exactly the same for the first 30' (or so)
One does not land lighter than the other, nor does one roll cast easier
It's after the initial taper where the difference lies.
The weight forward will shoot line better and the DT may roll cast better at a distance.
The DT is also reversible for added value

I can't recommend a specific line.... I use $10 factory seconds
