Like Mosca said, pick up extra. A leader will need replacement when you fishing, so you wouldn't want to cut a trip short because you don't have extra. And once you have some knots, the leader is about shot. Unless the knots are towards the skinny end and you can trim them off and add tippet. I'm using Scientific Anglers that I got on sale, and haven't had any problems. I'm cheap, so pick up extras as you find them on sale. They'll last long enough if you keep them away from extreme heat and sunlight. Same goes with tippet.
I've also heard arguments between mono and floro, but I haven't seen proof positive that fish can see the line. I've caught fish on both. So go with mono, since it's cheaper.
