Thank You Letter from the Mid-Atlantic CFR Program

Posted 05-30-2014 at 10:18 AM by mcnerney

We received a very nice thank you letter from Casey Peltion who runs the Casting for Recovery program in Virginia. A big thanks goes to Bob Gartner who runs the Ft Belvoir Project Healing Waters program who helped with getting our flies to the Virginia CFR program. Kudos to all of you that sent in flies and fly boxes. Fred, your beautiful C&F fly box went to them for a door prize and Jerry a couple of your fly boxes of 80 dry flies made it to them as well. We also sent them a ton of flies...

Fishing the North Platte, WY, May 2014

Posted 05-28-2014 at 07:18 PM by mcnerney

The wind was forecast to be 25-35 mph with higher gusts the whole weekend and the temps weren't much above freezing. I got there on Sat around 10 am and after purchasing a UT fishing license and grabbing a sandwich to go from...

Spring Fishing in Wyoming, April 2014

Posted 05-28-2014 at 06:57 PM by mcnerney

The weather forecast was for a high of 66 degrees and light winds, so I just had to get out of the house and go fishing. I decided to head down to the Green and hit up a new spot that looked promising, after an hour of throwing streamers and nymph fishing and not a single bite, I decided to move on to the spot I discovered on Saturday. On Saturday this spot was just incredible, I couldn't hardly ask for a better piece of water, but how a couple days things change, now the water is off color and...
