Chatanika River!!

So I got out tonight with a friend. He took me out to a river I had not been on before, the Chatanika. The Chatanika is normally a clear to slightly tannic river with good flow, it is part of the Yukon river drainage basin.
Today the river was still running high from melt off and was pretty dirty. Only had 2 bites in the 3 1/2 hours we were there, but I landed one of them, a 12" Grayling. It just felt great to be out on a river again. And my cast was doing a ton better, my pride wasn't beat up on much today!
