My Life From River to River;

Every year trying to intercept the salmon as they travel up the rivers here becomes a sort of problem. Actually it's more of a fixation than a problem and it takes control of my mind and therefore my life every year. I'll try to say this so you all can relate to what has happened over the years.

I have lived in several places, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Virginia, Colorado and Alaska. The bulk of time was spent in Pennsylvania with just 2 years in Georgia, 2 in Virginia, and one in Colorado....

I just read a post from Pocono that brought this post I made back to my memory. Things have a way of getting buried in the thousands of threads on the board so I'm posting it here in case you naver ran across it. I'll find a picture of the rod and edit it in soon.

One of Those Days, I've Had a Couple Lately.......

In the past week I've had a couple good days and a couple of those days that it just seemed you shouldn't have went fishing. The first one of 'Those days' was last Friday I think. I left in the AM around 9 and took the boat to go searching for trout. They are not plentiful in my favorite river but it seems they only come in one size, large. So with that as the catalyst off I went happy as could be.

To say that I have been happy with some of the flies I've tied up over the past 10 months would be an understatement. The Salmon Fly Tie Along that we had with Allan here on the forum paid off in a big way. I stayed the course with the thread and one of the last patterns we made was the Jock O' Dee an old salmon recipe from Scotland I think. I hadn't used it or any of the other flies from the thread until that day when I met Roger on the creek. That day I had tied on the J. O' Dee because it looked...
