Part 2 of A Very Colorful Season;

They say a picture is worth a thousand words so I'll post one more from the Valdez trip before we move on to the high country.

The next few pictures are from the streams that have been part of this fall and of course some of the fish who added their colors to that of the foliage and blue skies to finish the pallet of color before the coming of the white.

A Very Colorful Season Part One;

I could be fishing today but the early AM was more than chilly it was cold so I am home and will spend some quality time with my chainsaw later today. I put down a slew of trees last winter and it's time to cut and split them.

Now that I have shared that tid bit with you I'll get on with the entry here. Fall begins here in Alaska months ahead of some areas of the United States, we begin seeing telltale signs of things to come. Autumn actually begins with the return of the pacific...

The Baby Moose & More About Frozen Trucks;

I hope you haven't already found this out on the forum if you came here to see what was new. On Wednesday December 14, 2011; I was about to make a run to the post office at about 1:00 PM and since it was really chilly I headed out to start the car and unplug it. We use block heaters here on both the car & truck so that when you have left one set for several days in sub zero weather they are not frozen up.

About one and a half years into my being a member, The North American Fly Fishing Forum was acquired by Fish & Fly LTD of the UK. And since then our membership grew form a few thousand to 29,600 and is getting larger every day.
