Whenever I visit the blog I see some new names recorded in the 'recent visitors' information. I often wonder how well the new folks understand how these pages are recorded or 'stacked' here. I'll be the first to admit that it took me a while to figure things out for myself. There are stories that are posted many pages deep in this section that you may find interesting or amusing and i always wonder if people are paging back through the writings. You folks who read the threads and have for years might think that every now and then I write something worth while. Sometimes I think I write things that are worth while too

A fellow put up a post where he told of catching some really nice trout in a small river where he generally finds only small trout. He named the river and I posted to his thread telling him that although it sounded like a great day he should be wary of divuldging his sources for good fishing. We posted back...

Fishing Streamers in Less Than Perfect Conditions;

Recently we have had some threads where members are querying streamer fishing. With all the people out there floating Indi Rigs and dropping nymphs from a big dry I still believe that to be a successful streamer fisherman is The Holy Grail of the fly fisher. I must include being a master on the dry fly to the Holy Grail club also. Why are Salmon Flies so Gaudy in Color?

That was a question posted to the thread I ran in the Alaska forum threads about Pattern Productivity. When I tried to answer the question my post turned out to be a little long winded so I have copied it to here. Page 4 of Short Runs - The Denali

If you're going to take a trip here you might as well make a go of it. We left Chitna and passed Glenallen to turn left at Paxton onto the denali Highway. I'll just post up some pictures and caption them.
