2009 season has been slow!!

Posted 08-11-2009 at 08:59 AM by Davo

2009 has been an off season so far. The Upper Snake River region has seen high water and colder than normal temps this spring and early summer. We had a great winter snow pack and above average rainfall resulting in highwater and a longer than normal runoff. Fishing did not really kickoff until mid July, and even then the fishing was very slow.

Now it is mid August. But things are looking up!! Water levels have come down and the temperatures are on the rise. The hatches have been getting stronger and the big fish are starting to look up and get active.

Heading out with Fyshstykr and the Mrs. on the 13th and 14th. We plan to spend a day on the South Fork and a day on the Upper Snake. I'm hoping to be able to post some good pics and a great fishing report come the 15th.
