The flush is over on the South Fork and enough room was created in Palisades Res to make room for the coming runoff. So water levels on the South Fork should remain steady other than irrigation demands. Not to mention that the water clarity should be improving nice and steady. So it is time to get in some floats on the other side of the pass.
Here in Jackson our runoff should get started for real finally. So there will not be any fishing here in town for a few weeks. All depends on the how warm the weather gets and how fast. Due to several tributaries below the dam our river here does not behave like the typical tail water. Pacific Creek, Buffalo Fork, Gros Ventre, and Hoback all contribute to muddying the water during runoff. Until they clear we will have to head out of town for our fishing.
