12hrs to the two day fishing fest!!

Posted 08-12-2009 at 08:34 PM by Davo

A short 8 hr shift followed by a 1hr and 1/2 drive plus a quickie shuttle. Then it is the start off 2 days of fishing!! Woo Hoo!!

We are starting off with a 25 mile float on the South Fork of the Snake in Swan Valley, Idaho. The fishing reports have been great. Mayflies, hoppers, stones and streamers have all been producing. Add to that this stretch of river is known for big fish and lots of them.

Day two is on the upper Snake River in Jackson Hole. Great fishery, scenery and wildlife coupled with good friend on a nice leisurely 12 mile float. This stretch of river is just coming to life recently after high water and longer than normal runoff. Big fish are starting to look up. I'm hoping they have started to stack up in the riffles as well.

Will have the results of the trip in a couple of days

Tight lines and Big fish
