So, welcome to my first blog post. I have low expectations- (and so should you ).

Due to my busy work schedule, I haven't had time to fish much the last 10 days or so. Every once in a while I have these dry stretches of time, and generally it leads to a few predictable mental destinations-
1. A tendency to be more cranky and less patient in day to day stuff (I need the space the river provides me!).

2. I find myself wandering around the area of...

I must admit that the fish guide business is demanding to say the least. I have spent every day this past week trying hard to get salmon onto the flies of people fishing with me. The days are starting with an alarm going off at 2:30 AM and I am returning home at 8 or 9 in the evenings. This is as close as I have came to having a time clock to answer to since 1988 and it is proving to be demanding work.

Riparian Barbarian

Don't know if I can do this or not, but here goes. My son lives in Rawlins, Wy and fishes the North Platte every chance he gets. He starts at the Duggway north of Sinclair and goes up to Alcova. He loves Fremont canyon! He's not an expert but he is learning rapidly. He started the "Riparian Barbarian" a month ago so any of you Wyoming fishermen or any others might want to look at his spot. I go to Google and type in Riparian Barbarian. A lot of pics and comments. Enjoy, he'd love hearing...

Still Working on The Cabin;

I've been at the lake most of the past 2 weeks and although I took some time to go up to the Talachulitna to fish for trout and did some exploring on the Yentna River.......... I finally finished the second floor ceiling and sheeted the gable walls in the cabin.

On the front end of the building I had built a bridge to extend the loft to reach the large gable windows....
