Streamers, Where & When Part 3;

So what was it I was going to write about in this thread? Oh yeah, where & when. The where is almost always those places you and very few others bother to fish. These places are often like I described in the remembrance here, pretty deep and swift. The when can be as it was for me that June evening but I really liked fishing the crack of dawn for brown trout. Getting into position to fish downstream before it is light enough to see to cats usually ensures that you’ll have at least a couple hours...

It was a Sunday just after Christmas and it was an unseasonable 40 degrees in Western New York. The morning arose and it was a grey, overcast scene. Winter Fishing in Western Wyoming

I went fishing yesterday, decided to take advantage of this incredibly warm weather we have been experiencing (I sure hope we don't pay dearly this summer with another dreadful fire season). This is that time of year in the west where the animals are in full migration mode, so I time the departure from the house so I can see the sides of the roadway clearly (having one near miss with a big bull moose is enough), that said, I left the house a little before 7 am, first stop was at Daniel Junction...
