A Quick Note To Readers;

If you are not using the RSS Feed when viewing blogs here you should give it a try.

It's very easy, look to the sidebar menu at the left of the screen and click 'View RSS Feed', that's it

The feed will only cover the current page so to travel backward through the stories and photos here you need to close the RSS and move to page 2 (for instance) then click the RSS and you're good to go. It is amazing how much better things look on a steady page feed

Season 1 Pretty Much Over

So with the rivers closing here in another 12 days, and not thinking I'd have another chance to get out, I took the day off, and went down the Forestry Trunk Road and tried to find someplace fishy to spend the day.

Salmon & large trout fishing beginnings

I am heading out today by myself to walk the river with my 8wt and try my hand at something entirely new to me. I will be attempting to cast for a salmon or trout. I have Sage z-axis that has been sitting in the closet for several years because i do not have friends yet to go with. My thought is that this is my experience to enjoy and my only hope of learning how to do it is to do it. Sort of like build it and they will come. I will be fishing egg flys, leech flys, and such. Its a start into...

hitting the creek

its suppose to be 40's in the morning, and no trout yet stocked in the creek i fish, so I am packing my hammock and camera gear for the days adventure if fishing fails ill be an epic nap creek side.
