A good day was had by all on the 3rd float of the season. In attendance were my Boss and friend Greg, his friend and business associate Drew and myself so we had a full boat.
We delayed our launch until mid day as Drew had some prior commitment. Weather was different from Mondays float. Today we had cloud cover the entire float. But the temps were in the mid 50's until the very end when a cold wind and some rain finally settled into the valley.

After more than a month we are finally getting back out on the river. The water will be high and still quite cold, but the weather is finally going to cooperate!!!
Looking at temps around 50 and no precipitation, unless the weather man has decided to lie again.

Breakup, that's what Alaskans call springtime. It is a time of melting snows, ice out on the rivers and lakes and of course mud. Gravel roads and driveways get soft and you don't walk around on your lawn for a while but things eventually dry out and firm up.
