This story is taken from an old thread here on the forum. Threads have a tendency to get buried over the years and sometimes I dig one out and read it. Part Two;


At nearly a dead run I headed back to the car to get my fly rod, the moment of truth was soon to be at hand. There were definitely fish here! As fast as I could I assembled the two piece rod and fastened one of those big fat creations of mine to the end of my leader. Quickly I made my way back down the path through the little meadow to the water.

Sure enough they were still there and God, they both had a fish on! I waded in downstream of the woman....

This weekend Pam and I headed to The South Fork to celebrate our Anniversary. The water has been very high all Summer and has only come down to fishable and safe floating levels over the last couple weeks, needless to say it's been a tough season with no "water therapy" on our favorite river.

Not sure if the embeding will work, I was able to get out on the creek early this morning and behold a creek all to myself, The guy at the park gate said I was the second one in and the other folks had horses. So I figured I could expect good fishing. I made the small hike to a spot I wanted to try and started fishing a small dryfly. after 8 or small sunfish were caught I was pretty happy and kept moving, seeing some nice fish along the way that didnt want to play. I then came to a bit deeper...
