Default Wife Catches Biggest Fish

She could do no wrong, me, I hooked many but landed only two. This was the biggest of the day.

We can not keep many fish because we have no electricity at the cabin and rely on ice to save the fillets. Only four fish were harvested although in the ten days we were out we could have taken way too many. The runs are becoming weak and we feel good about limiting our kill instead of killing our limit.

Congrats to the wife. My chin almost hit the floor when that picture came into view. Wasn't expecting that big.

Hi Ard,

Nice Silver and still in really good shape. You better get you a smoker and smoke some of those fish. To bad you missed the Tal.

Do you need some help putting in a generator? It would have to be during the fishing season.

After 10 years on the Oil Pipeline Microwave system we had to change out the generators. The used units were small diesel generators that were sold for a $1000 each. We had 56 of them and most sold in a week and the others were gone in two weeks. They were 7.5 kw units and great for the bush.

Frank

Thanks everyone,

Her head is swelling as I type. Jean Paul, the fish is a male. We don't keep any hens because the eggs they bear are too precious to waste for a couple of fillet's.

Frank, we do have a 3200 watt generator for running power tools when needed but one of those big boys is in our future before we move out there for good. We hit it just right because the fish were coming into the mouth of the creek from the Skwentna River while we were there fishing. Nice bright fish were jumping and rolling all around us. All the fish were caught on unweighted Cains river Marimichi retrieved slowly in cloudy water;
