The ODWC posted to today that the trout of the Lower Mountain Fork River in the Beavers Bend State Park north of Broken Bow, OK have successfully spawned.

That is great news. No if we could just get the keep limit lowered on spillway creek so more could survive and reproduce...

Another thing, I noticed far fewer brown trout in spillway creek the last time I was up there. I would think this would increase the chances of rainbow fry/fingerlings being able to survive. Does anybody know if this has been proven to be the case?

I love's me some brownies, but I think a self sustaining trout population is overall better. Are plenty of browns still being caught in zone 2?
