Where do you fish?

I'm usually fishing with my wife, Marty. Once in a while we take a trip to somewhere that we haven't fished before. This year it was Chile; fishing on the Petrohue River in Northern Patagonia. Last year it was Shalom's Forest in Japan, fishing with Neversink (a great time!). The year before that it was Paradise Valley in Montana.

Pocket water/Brookies is my favorite type of fishing. Give me a good 3 wt. rod, some small dries and nymphs, leave me alone and you wont' see me again until the sun goes down; way down!

That's Mud Run, J-P. When it rains up here you know where it gets it's name. But it's shallow and it clears quickly; so the fishing is usually very good. Shotgunning in the pockets; behind the rocks, at the seams, along the edges/undercuts usually reveals a fish or two. I use a 7'6" 3 wt. almost all the time; nymphs over dries, small terrestrials from August 1st on.

Come on over; the fishing it still good! And that's PW, so it's fishable all year round.

Alaska now, too many places to list. I used to get around but now I stay here. Every now and then I return to Colorado and get a chance to fish some old haunts there.

I'm from the Reno area but fish the Sierras from the East Walker all the way up to the Trinity River and around Hat Creek, the Pit River and everything in between as long as it flows. I fish for Trout, Bass, Steelies and use to fish Pike in Davis until they killed them all off.

I live in North Eastern NY. I get great brown fishing on the West Branch Ausable in Lake Placid, the river runs right through the parking lot of Whiteface Mt. where the 80 Olympics were.

We fish steel head in Pulaski NY on the Salmon River. In April I'm headed to the Gatlinburg Nat. Park for a little fishing. Never been there, I hear the fish aren't big but there's lots of action. Should be fun on my little 3wt.

Well, I´ll show you guys.









East Ranga in Iceland. Mainly Atlantic Salmon, some 4000 caught this season,
in three months on 18 rods. The best summer was in 2007, when around 7500
were caught.

Huron river between Dexter Mi. and Ann Arbor Mi. Truly great smallmouth water that serene and beautiful. I also fish in the fabled holy waters of the Au Sable and the P.M, the Black and the Rifle. Steelhead alley has recently been added to my list, but im still very new to that.

I fished all of the places that CHH mentioned for a number of years and now fish the NC/TN mountains as well as the Outer Banks along with a yearly foray out to MT/WY/ID.
I also fish the PA/OH steelhead waters.
I haven't been back to MI in a year or two but will make up for that this Spring.
